Our Woodworking History
~ The
Shriver family is a lineage of German craftsman dating back to the 17th
century in Europe. Over forty years ago Darrell Shriver took his love
for building and turned it into his lifelong career. In
1969 he earned his
degree in Industrial Education with an emphasis in
Architectural Design and Engineering.
Soon after graduation he
started building homes with the help
and support of his wife Martha. Ten
years of continued success
in the building industry and his drive to grow in his
field compelled him to start his cabinet business, Shriver
Cabinets. Beautiful and well constructed cabinets combined
with
personal customer service helped the business grow. Carey
Shriver,
who has been his dad's apprentice since childhood, has partnered with
his father to continue the family business .
Carey and
his wife Valirea have been part of the company for the past 15 years.
Today, the Shriver family works hard to produce quality
construction through general contracting and manufacturing cabinets.
Our Black Angus Cattle
History ~
The Shriver family farms started in the mid 1900's with
Norman
Shriver and his family on a small farm in Tyrone, Missouri.
His
son Darrell grew up working at his father side learning the importance
of family, hard work and dedication. Together they built a
herd
of quality black angus beef. Today, the tradition of farming
continues with Darrell, his son Carey and their families. The
love for the land and cattle that have been part of the
Shriver family's lives run deep in Darrell and Martha and they have
passed that to their three children and eight grandchildren in the
hopes of the Shriver family farms continued success.
